It is an honour for us to introduce BMWC, a regular meeting of central European pagans, to you. The abbreviation means Bohemian and Moravian Witches Conference. It is an intensive experiential meeting of people interested in witchcraft, magic, paganism or shamanism. The concept is experimental – it is a more or less freely evolving project which is run by it's regular participants.
Characteristic of the BMWC
It is not a typical pagan festival for wide audience, nor an esoteric seminar. First of all, it is strictly non-commercial and it is a space for like-minded people who usually know each other pretty well. It is growing gradually thanks to new participants. This way, the little regular festival is changing into a fellowship of people who are, on one hand, following different paths, but on the other hand, are willing to learn from each other. They are connected through their friendship, their ability to listen to each other and simply have fun.
From its beginning BMWC focuses on people with specific interests among which stands out the concern of rebirth of paganism and witchcraft. Most participants follow their path individually and actively. They are independent people, who do not wait for others to solve their problems.
This is why we do not do BMWC for material gain, but for fun and enjoyment. The participation is only for invited people and for those approved by the organisational team based on their application form. We do not feel the need to invite as many people as possible, but this does not mean that we want to establish any kind of secret society, coven, elite group or anything like that. From its beginning BMWC focuses on people with specific interests among which stands out the concern of rebirth of paganism and witchcraft. Most participants follow their path individually and actively. They are independent people, who do not wait for others to solve their problems.
BMWC is a space for meeting people who respect others, are open to other thoughts, are willing to teach others and share what they have learnt on their path. The conference has it's programme which is prepared a long time in advance. It is a mixture of trips, lectures, workshops, meditations, exercises of all kinds and - last but not least, fun. Someone characterised this event as intensive spiritual work, lasting for several days. It's also a place for fun, socializing and every spontaneous activity. Creative spirit is welcome! The participants create the conference on their own, of the programme is scheduled and supervised by Zahrada, it's founder, and the current organisational team. This web page informs potential participants about our activities so that you know what to expect.
